Osun Renewable Energy Transition Track (OSRETT)

About This Project

The Osun State Renewable Energy Transition Track (OSRETT) was developed as a comprehensive roadmap for inclusive, people-centred energy transition across the state. Under OSRETT, three flagship signature programmes have been launched: the Imole Solar Lamps initiative ("One Child, One Lantern"), distributing solar reading lanterns to students and rural communities; Imole Clean Cookstoves, providing healthier and safer cooking solutions that reduce household air pollution; and Imole E-Bikes, promoting eco-friendly mobility for all social classes. Together these programmes improve education outcomes, community health, and livelihoods while reducing energy poverty and emissions.
