By Waste-to-Wealth Programme Team

Osun State's Waste-to-Wealth Training Programme celebrated the graduation of its 2,000th participant — a milestone in the state's effort to build a green economy workforce.

The Osun State Waste-to-Wealth Training Programme has celebrated the graduation of its 2,000th participant, marking a significant milestone in the state's effort to build a skilled workforce for the green economy.

Graduates — drawn from all 30 LGAs of Osun State — have been trained in plastic upcycling, composting, eco-brick fabrication, biogas production, and green product manufacturing. Many are now operating micro-enterprises and have connected to the Imole Recycling Hub network for market access.

The graduation ceremony in Osogbo was attended by traditional rulers, market association leaders, school principals, and officials from the Federal Ministry of Environment. Twelve graduates were specifically recognised as 'Green Entrepreneur Champions' for establishing formal businesses and employing others.
