About This Project
The Imole Recycling Hub initiative transforms Osun State's relationship with waste. Rather than treating used materials as a problem, this programme sees them as resources โ and builds the infrastructure to unlock their economic value.
Five major recycling hubs have been established across Osun State, each serving as an aggregation point for plastics, metals, paper, and organic waste. These hubs connect directly to over 350 registered green SMEs who process and repurpose collected materials into marketable products.
The programme provides business development support, market linkages, and microfinancing pathways for green entrepreneurs. Over 2,500 green jobs have been created through this ecosystem, with particular emphasis on youth and women-led enterprises.
